The Leaf Range is elegant and graceful. Its inspiration is clear. This is nature’s true fingerprint captured forever. An impression from a real leaf skeleton is used to create each jewel. No two leaves are the same and therefore each piece is utterly unique.

“The leaf for me represents so much. Each species of tree yields its own shape and texture reflecting the variety of personalities we have! I love how the sway and swell of the wind in summer creates a dance and song of joy amongst the branches. I love the colours of autumn and the irresistible chance to go kicking through the fallen leaves. But sometimes the bare branches of the dark long nights of winter lead me to dismay. So to me the leaf is a symbol of hope … spring always follows winter … the return of budding new shoots heralds a lengthening of days and a new hope for tomorrow.”

This range was launched as part of the “Christmas Wishes” exhibition at the Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre Craft Shop, winter 2006. Rowena’s artist statement included her poem “Leaf.”
